The Use Of Wire Mesh

Design:

It's not necessary to make any change in the general principles of calculations in case of using wire-mesh in reinforced concrete building materials. The outfit cross-sections are determined from the calculated moments, according to the quality of concrete and safety strain of wire-mesh.The mesh kinds corresponding to these outfit cross sections are determined from (Table-1). Then comes the drawing of mold plan. Two different plans are drawn. One for the equipment to be put under required by the positive moments and the other for the equipment (to be put over) required for the negative moments.

Placement of meshes whose wire diameters and spacings were calculated before, into the mold plan, in other words, determinations of mesh lengths, and putting over each other and over the support, numeration of meshes are performed in accordance with the following conditions (Tab!e-1) the double rods were indicated by "d" beside the rod diameter.

The wire should pass the center of the support, width in simple side supports at the same time, the last wire should be farther from the support center. (Fig. 1) At inner supports, the wires should be extended to the support center on condition that they must be at least 10 cm. (Fig. 2)

The mesh which is used as top equipment at side supports of continuous plates and at cantilever sup­ports should go in with at least 2.5 hole spacings, if the tip of the mesh is bent with an angle of 90°, the length of connection decreases to 1,5 hole spacings. (Fig. 3)
